Nancy Archer a wealthy woman driving and traveling in the desert alone at night encounters a red fireball setting down in her path causing her to veer off the road. As she gets out of the car to investigate and encounters a 30 ft. creature. She is able to escape and returns to town, but due to her bits of immoderate drinking and recent time in a mental hospital for emotional stability no one will believe her. Her philandering husband Harry who has taken up with the town floozie is no help either hoping she will snap so he can gain control of her money. Nancy promises to return to the sanatorium if he will go to the desert with her to investigate. As they encounter the huge humanoid Harry fires his pistol with no effect and flees leaving Nancy behind.

Not knowing how to treat Nancy in her giant state her Dr. puts her in an induced coma and restraints while waiting for the authorities at her mansion. As Nancy awakens, she breaks free and creates makeshift bikini out of the bed sheets. She then heads to town to hunt down her husband and take revenge for his cheating ways. At the local bar Nancy finds her two-timing husband with his lover and proceeds to tear the roof off. Upon doing so she drops a beam on her rival, killing her and then picks up Harry in her enormous hand. Although bullets have no effect at all on Nancy, when a shotgun blast hits a transformer it blows up killing her. Harry is in the end is found dead in her hand.
